Straight answers about how MB ALFA works, what it costs and what it takes to go live.
Getting started
MB ALFA is an all-in-one point of sale and business management platform for restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and retail stores. One system covers the cash register, kitchen display, inventory, purchasing, HR, accounting, online ordering and delivery, with consolidated reporting across every branch. It runs on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and the web.
Restaurants, cafes and coffee shops, fast food and QSR, bakeries, ice cream shops, bars and lounges, food trucks, hotels and resorts, supermarkets, and retail and mini markets. Hospitality businesses get table plans, a kitchen display and course firing; retail businesses get barcode and weighing-scale checkout, label printing and supplier purchase orders.
Reliability
Yes. MB ALFA is offline-first, not merely offline-tolerant. Every till keeps a full local database on the device, so cashiers can take orders, print receipts, split bills and close shifts with the network completely down. When connectivity returns, queued work syncs to the server automatically and in order, with no duplicated orders and no manual re-entry.
Languages
Yes. The full interface is available in Arabic, English and French, with complete right-to-left layout in Arabic rather than a mirrored English screen. Receipts, kitchen tickets, reports and customer notifications are all produced in the language you choose, and each staff member can use the language they prefer on the same account.
Compliance
Yes. MB ALFA transmits e-receipts and e-invoices to the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) directly from the point of sale, including the required document signing and submission flow. Tax rates, service charges and per-item tax handling are configured once and then applied consistently across every branch and every sales channel.
Your business data is yours. Sales, inventory, customer and financial data can be exported to spreadsheet and PDF from the reports section at any time, and reports can be scheduled to arrive by email or WhatsApp. Each tenant runs against its own isolated database rather than a shared table with a customer column.
Operations
Yes. Each branch keeps its own tills, stock, staff, shifts and pricing, while owners see either a single branch or every branch combined from one login. Stock transfers move inventory between branches with a full audit trail, and reports can be run per branch or consolidated across the whole business.
Yes. Orders reach the kitchen as tickets on a kitchen display screen, printed station tickets, or both, and routing is set per station so the grill, the bar and the dessert section each see only what they make. Tickets carry the order number, table, channel and item notes, and orders placed online arrive on the same screens as dine-in orders.
Yes. Customers order from your own branded online menu, and those orders land in the cashier queue and on the kitchen screens automatically. Drivers are assigned from a dispatch console, receive the job on their phone with navigation, and their location is tracked while the delivery is in progress.
Yes. Stock is tracked at ingredient level with recipes, so selling a dish deducts its components rather than a single line item. Purchase orders, goods receiving, supplier balances, waste and stock counts are all recorded, and profit reports subtract cost of goods, waste, salaries and supplier payments to show real net profit.
Setup
MB ALFA runs on hardware you may already own: an Android tablet, an iPad, a Windows or macOS computer, or any modern browser. It supports thermal receipt printers over USB, network or Bluetooth, barcode scanners, weighing scales, cash drawers, customer-facing displays and kitchen screens. You are not locked into proprietary terminals.
Yes. Products, categories, prices, customers, suppliers and opening stock can be imported during onboarding, and the team does the first import with you rather than handing you a template. Barcodes are preserved, and retail products without a barcode are given an internally generated EAN-13 so every item scans from day one.
A single-outlet café or shop is typically selling on MB ALFA within a few days: catalogue import, printer and hardware setup, staff accounts and a short training session. Multi-branch rollouts take longer because stock, transfers and consolidated reporting are configured per branch, but branches go live one at a time rather than all at once.
Pricing
Pricing is per plan and scales from a single outlet to a multi-branch chain, shown in your local currency on the pricing page. There is a 7-day free trial that does not require a credit card, and a free 1-to-1 demo where a specialist walks through the system on your own business type before you commit to anything.
Support
Support is available by WhatsApp, phone and email, in Arabic, English and French, and reaches a person who knows the product rather than a ticket queue. Onboarding includes catalogue setup, hardware configuration and staff training, and updates are delivered without you having to reinstall anything.
