What is the best POS system for a restaurant in Egypt?

The right POS for an Egyptian restaurant has to survive an unreliable connection, speak Arabic properly, and file e-invoices with the Tax Authority. MB ALFA does all three: tills keep selling fully offline and sync when the network returns, the interface and receipts are genuinely right-to-left in Arabic, and e-receipts are transmitted to the ETA directly from the point of sale.

Judge any POS in this market on three things before features. First, what happens when the internet drops mid-service — if the answer is "the till stops", nothing else matters. Second, whether Arabic is a real right-to-left interface or an English screen with translated strings. Third, whether e-invoicing is built in or a plugin you maintain.

Beyond that, the questions are about your own shape: how many branches, whether you need ingredient-level food cost, whether you take your own delivery orders, and whether the kitchen needs screens or printed tickets.
